THE LIVING MEMORY OF YOUNG PROBABILISTS
The Cournot Foundation is conducting interviews with young probability researchers.
How do they define probability? What is their relationship with its past, and how do they envisage its future? How did their knowledge unfold? How do they work and interact with each other? Is probability a field of mathematics like any other? Through their perceptions of the discipline, their own work and the diffusion of probability in social contexts, the interviews provide a picture of the contemporary development and recent history of probability. A film, based on the interviews, will present a collective portrait of today’s young probabilists.
